1. About HomiqHouse
HomiqHouse is a property technology (PropTech) platform operated from Ondo State, Nigeria. We connect house seekers, landlords, tenants, and service workers across Akure, Owo, Ondo Town, Akungba, and Ikare. Our website and app are accessible at homiq.online.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, posting a listing, or using any feature of HomiqHouse, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use HomiqHouse.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use HomiqHouse. By using the platform you represent that you are 18 or older, have the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement, and are located in or posting about properties in Ondo State, Nigeria.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
• Keeping your password confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information when signing up
• Not creating more than one account per person
HomiqHouse reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these terms.
5. Listings & User Content
When you post a listing or any content on HomiqHouse, you confirm that:
• The property or item is real and actually available
• You have the right to rent, sell, or advertise it
• All information (price, location, photos) is accurate
• You are not misrepresenting yourself as an agent when you are not one
Prohibited content includes: fake listings, stolen or non-existent properties, misleading prices, spam, hate speech, or illegal activity. Violations may result in immediate account removal and may be reported to authorities.
6. Payments & Fees
Some features require payment (e.g. Verified Agent badge, Verified Store badge, Boost listing). All payments are processed securely via Paystack.
• Payments are non-refundable once a feature is activated
• Subscription plans auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• If payment is deducted but a feature did not activate, contact us within 24 hours at homiqhouse@gmail.com with your payment reference
• HomiqHouse is not responsible for failed payments caused by your bank or card issuer
7. Privacy Policy — What Data We Collect
Information you provide:
• Name, email address, phone number when creating an account
• Listing details including photos, price, and location
• WhatsApp number used for buyer/tenant contact
Information we collect automatically:
• City preference and app usage data
• Device type and browser (for app performance)
How we use your data:
• To display your listings to users in your city
• To maintain your account and enable login
• To process payments (via Paystack)
• To send important account notifications
We do NOT:
• Sell your personal data to third parties
• Share your data without your consent except as required by Nigerian law
• Store your payment card details (handled entirely by Paystack)
8. Sign In with Google
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive your Google password. Your use of Google sign-in is also governed by
Google's Privacy Policy.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
• Listings are automatically removed after 14 days (you can relist anytime)
• Your account data is retained while your account is active
• To delete your account and all associated data, email homiqhouse@gmail.com with your phone number and request account deletion. We will process it within 7 business days.
10. Disclaimer of Liability
HomiqHouse is a platform that connects users. We do not own, manage, or inspect any property listed on the platform. We are not a party to any rental or sale agreement between users.
HomiqHouse is not liable for:
• The accuracy of listings posted by users
• Disputes between landlords/tenants or buyers/sellers
• Loss of money from scams or fraudulent users
• Any physical visit to a property arranged through the platform
Always verify a property in person before making any payment. If you suspect a fraudulent listing, use the Report button or contact us immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of HomiqHouse after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last updated.
